Mustang

Last week on my way to work the mustang began overheating. From what we know the radiator is the original, and has never been worked on. I took the mustang down to my mechanic and had him look at it. He confirmed the radiator wasn’t doing its job and it was quite rusty, all of the hoses were old and worn and the water pump as well as the thermostat needed to be replaced. When i pulled over when it overheated LOTS of coolant and steam was coming from the thermostat and he said it busted the gasket on it. $1200 later and he removed the whole front of the engine, replaced the timing cover & gasket, water pump, main coolant hoses, thermostat and gasket. While he had it open he also replaced the timing set and gaskets, drive belts and flushed the whole thing to make sure all the rusty coolant was out of there. At this point the whole front end of the engine is new. I now have a 3 row radiator that will do wonders for the car this summer. Yay no more overheating!
