New Years Day

Jen, Jess and I are PAR-TAY animals I tell ya. Yesterday I dropped the kids off at Isaacs Parent’s house (the kids Grand Parents) then hung out at home as well as did some shopping. Later in the day we went to Hollywood Video and rented some movies (Melinda & Melinda, The Dukes of Hazzard (Uncut) & Sahara). We watched Melinda & Melinda1/2 way though then Jen and Jess went to sleep at 10. I stopped the movie and popped in The Dukes of Hazzard but fro some reason the XBox didnt like the movie *shrug* so I didnt get to watch it. Around 11 I watched the ball drop, or a recording there of on the Rockin New Years with the new robot named Seacrest. Blah blah what ever… I changed it and saw Regis and his wife singing some song very Karaoke style and I guess I fell asleep on the couch before the PST ball dropped. Bah, whatever again.. Zonked out at 12 Jen woke up to gunfire. From what I gathered from my mother in law there is a cop that lives down the street and he may have been the one shooting the gun into the air (I doubt it since what comes up must come down, but still who knows). I didnt wake up to it so It didnt bother me any. Around 4am Jen woke up came into the living room to find me crashed out. I was told to go to bed, I dont recall how exactly but I got a drink of water and then crashed out on the bed.

This morning I woke up next to the lil love in my life shes such a wiggle worm and I heard Jen start the Durango and drive off. 1/2 hour later she came back and I work up again and snuck out of bed before Jess could realize I was gone. Jen was cooking her annual Creme Brule thingy that is yummers. We sat down and ate our brunch, just the 3 of us. Jen wanted to go to the store to buy a new salt container she broke, so I suggested we’d take a walk over there. We came back and took some pictures of Jess.

I tried out a new photoshop action that makes pictures look like old pull and peel Polaroids, so I gave it a shot on this pic.

Last Night

Jen’s ex sister in law (oy vey… thats a stretch) was “in town” for the week and was staying in Anaheim for a business trip. We made plans to take her out to Downtown Di$ney, eat and get hot chocolate. We headed out there after I got home from work and picked her up at the hotel. We parked and proceeded to ESPN Zone for dinner. It just started sprinkling so it was perfect timing to get indoors. We had a nice dinner and then did some walking around and went into Build A Bear. I truly hate this store but our guest has never been into one. Looking around Jen found a wig for a bear they sell there. Jen put the wig on Jess and I snapped a picture:

I got the idea of looking for a cute hat for her since well, the wig fit why cant all these other clothes. We looked around and no dice on a hat. So we looking at more shops and ended up at La Brea Bakery for hot chocolate. $21 bucks later for 3 large and 2 small hot chocolate (its SOOOO worth it, no really it is) and it began sprinkling even more now. We headed back to the car and called it a night.

This morning I woke up and was getting ready and looked into the crib and saw the cutest thing. I grabbed the camera took a picture:

Jessalyn was born at 8:02am.
Weighed 7lbs 0.4 oz (3190oz)
Was 19 1/2 inches long
13 inch chest
13 1/2 inch head

Were still at the hospital until Sunday (as of now). I’ve uploaded some pictures to my flickr account and will sort through them later.

Office Baby Shower & other stuff on my mind.

So this morning I walked into my office and all the ladies were huddled up in the customer service part of the office. I walked up to my door and saw that it was all decorated in pink with storks. They yelled supprise and I opened the door and they decorated everything with pink and storks and bows. Presents filled my desk and as more people came to work they brought presents as well. It was way cool of them to take the time to setup my office and supprise me like that.

1 more day… 1 more day until our baby is here. This morning at 7:30 Jen woke up and said “in 24 hours… uh..”. Yeah in 24 hours as of 7:30am they will be operating on her.

Man I feel like I have soo much to do at home. I dont really but I feel like I do. I wanna get the car cleaned out tonight, then take Jen out for our last “Date Night” without children. Speaking of Date Night Chris and Caitlin will still go to their grandparents house every wednesday like they have been; but after today we’ll be taking the baby along with us when they leave. I cherrish our wednesdays that we have together but I dont see too much of a change until Jessalyn gets older. I also don’t see the kids going over there that they have been once they get that much older. Then again, who knows.

OC Fair 2005

Last night Jen and I went to the OC Fair in Costa Mesa and we had a damn good time. We dont ride any of the rides (well even if we did, we couldnt) but we did look at all the exhibits. We stopped by the ham radio booth and checked out this icom $11,000 ham radio. Man that thing is nuts! We also looked at the products area and ohh and awwed over all the crazy shit they slang there. Later we ate (I had pizza & Jen had a burger) then we got a dose of fair desert (Jen had funnel cake & I ate a “Barrel Cone” which is twice dipped icecream with nuts on it.).

Lastly we checked out the Lego display they had there. [click to see just those pics]
